Mike McAllen spent several years running into burning buildings as a Firefighter to prepare himself for the demands of the meeting planning industry. He is the founder of Grass Shack Events & Media, a full service production company based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
His company has produced meetings and media for companies such as Sanofi, Genzyme, Genentech, Siemens Medical Solutions, GAP, Wells Fargo, Yahoo, Oracle and many Associations. Mike has a passion for helping clients move their attendees and viewers to some sort of desired action.
Concentrating on the divide between an audiovisual company and production company Mike strives to build events and media that resonates with audiences. His teams listen, ask questions to create engaging experiences and strive to communicate clients key messages.
Mike’s teams have recently concentrated on providing creative full service video production for clients as the boom of video has reached consumers with the proliferation of smart phones and mobile devices. Mike happily credits his onset of grey hair to the meetings industry not to his firefighting days. Mike lives with his extremely fun and beautiful, out of his league wife, two dogs, two cats, 120,000 bees and 8 Koi fish in Oakland, California.
