Easter comes at a beautiful time of year, doesn’t it? It was a long winter but spring is surely on its way, and with the first thaw comes that first burst of color! Naturally, we want to bring all of that bright color indoors but isn’t it more fun to arrange purple hyacinth in an old watering can, or prop up daisies in a pair of bright rain boots instead of just plopping daffodils in a clear vase? Decorating for Easter is always a treat because of the variety of ways to combine bright colors with muted pastels. Try lining a square vase with yellow jelly beans, stacking pale pink Peeps bunnies on top and topping it off with fresh cut, hot pink Gerbera daisies. It’s a cute and creative way to bring a little spring inside.
Egg dyeing has come a long way since the days of dye pellets and vinegar. Of course, those options still exist if you want to go old school and buy a box of PAAS. But, if you want to kick it up a notch there’s decoupage, glitter, gold paint, watercolor, Sharpies, stickers and melted crayons, just to name a few. And once you’ve colored them, check out the board we created to give you some ideas for presentation.
