What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
Pelonkey allows entertainers to be more in control of their own businesses by giving them the tools they need in a simple, easy to use interface. They can promote themselves, manage contracts, negotiate rates, pay and protect themselves, and still have time to focus on the most important part of their business, their art. The best part is — event planners who need entertainment for their parties can come to us, search our database, and book talent quickly and easily!
What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
Any type of performing entertainer, such as a DJ, rock bands, magicians, clowns, etc — and any type of event planner or organizer seeking out entertainment, such as event planning companies, venues, wedding couples, corporations, etc.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
It’s hard to find quality entertainment in your budget. Pelonkey makes it so easy for event planners to find the right entertainer, for the right price, and secures the booking for them in a protected environment.
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
We are created by the event industry, for the event industry. The CEO, Nicole Gallub has been working as a successful performer for almost 10 years and understands the problems this industry faces for both the entertainer and event planner.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
Transparency. We show both the entertainer and the event planner exactly how much is being charged and where their money is going through our pricing / invoicing system.
Anything else we need to know?
Our CEO is formerly an IT specialist, who has worked for many government entities – turned international DJ – who has toured around the world, run a record label, produced a successful album, etc. Nicole has created Pelonkey to help solve a lot of industry problems that she’s personally experienced, in addition to her peers. Pelonkey is a family run business, as her business parter is her sister, Ciera who has also been her booking and events manager for almost three years. Together they have the industry experience to create the technological solution to disrupt and stabilize the entertainment industry.
