Today, we’re talking about Pathable
What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
People go to events to build relationships and network. But finding the right people to meet and keeping the engagement going after the event is over is hard.
Pathable makes it easy: by delivering a rich business networking experience seamlessly integrated with the conference logistical tools, Pathable ensures your attendees connect with the valuable peers, build meaningful relationships and maintain the engagement even after the event is over.
Pathable is the best choice for events where peer relationships are important to the attendees. Hundreds of platforms offer online agenda, tradeshow maps, exhibitor listings etc., but Pathable stands out from the crowd by delivering all of these features built around an engaging conference community experience, including private meeting scheduling tools.
We’ve served events from 70 to 20,000 people, run by associations, corporations, government and non-profit groups.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
Pathable saves a bunch of work for event planners, by creating a single, easy-to-use interface to maintain critical event information like agenda, exhibitor listings, maps, etc. in real-time. But more importantly, it helps the people going to the events get more value: more engagement, more connections, more collaboration, and more inspiration.
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
Lots of “mobile event app” providers talk about the social experience they offer, but there’s a limit to how much real social interaction and networking is going to happen on someone’s phone. In the month’s leading up to the event, when people want to do their homework on who else is coming, plant and nurture relationships, and then when they want to keep those conversations and relationships alive after the event is over, that’s where Pathable stands out.
Pathable combines an attractive, easy-to-use mobile event app with a complete on-line networking experience for desktop computers. It means, “social” is much more than just “checking in” at a session and tweeting “LOL”.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
Scheduling one-on-one meetings at conferences is a bear: you compare schedules by e-mailing back-and-forth, you agree to meet at the registration desk because you’ve never been to the conference center before, then you scroll through your email looking for a phone number when someone’s late.
Because Pathable combines the personalized conference agenda, facility information and attendee directory, Pathable can suggest times that work for both of you, allow you to reserve meeting tables or rooms, and even send an “I’m running late” SMS text message right from the app. More meetings, more relationships, more value.
Anything else we need to know?
Pathable gets “type-cast” as either a “mobile event app” or a “conference community platform”. While it’s both, thinking of it in those terms misses the value.
The community impact of a “mobile event app” is going to be limited to those comfortable living on their mobile devices, and even for them, there’s only so much hunching over a 2-inch virtual keyboard they’re going to want to do. Pathable has a complete desktop web experience in addition to its mobile app, so it’s much more than “just an app”.
Likewise, it’s more than just a social networking platform: it’s a complete event logistics tool as well, with personalized agenda builder, exhibitor listings, tradeshow floor maps, lead retrieval tools, and more. Give us a try!
