What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
There are several tools available today for ticketing, badging, communication and promotion of events but individual event planners are organizing, scheduling, tracking and reporting using Excel, email and the ubiquitous event binder. Reliance on products that are not tailored to the way event planners work is making them – in the words of one of our customers – “some of the most stressed out and busy people I know.”
eventuosity is extremely scalable for virtually any event size but is primarily geared toward mid-sized events of 20 to 500 participants. The majority of early eventuosity adopters are independent event planners, corporate trade show managers, training coordinators and sales administrators. Some consumer, non-profit and social groups have also begun to use eventuosity for their event needs.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
eventuosity fills the event technology gap between registration and ROI. We provide event planners a single, collaborative tool to effectively allocate people and resources to make their event participation a success.
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
Our most important differentiator is that we have built eventuosity from the ground up as a planning tool for event planners. It is not an add-on to another event-related app such as an asset management program. Additionally, eventuosity has a great user interface, simple packaging and pricing, and the flexibility to be used for virtually any event type.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
There are a lot of cool features but the one that generates the most response is the virtual event binder that eliminates the 3-ring binder and adds some intelligence to associating documents with people or calendar entries.
Anything else we need to know?
We are currently in a closed beta and will have a full commercial release in Summer 2014. We are also a family business with a mother and two sons.
This weekly series spotlights a new tech tool that is designed to help make planning events much more seamless. Whether it’s using event software to track every detail from start to finish or mobile apps that deliver content to attendees’ fingertips, these technologies allow planners to divert their stress to more critical issues like deciding which napkin color looks best.
