What is the "problem" that your tool seeks to solve?

There is no good way to let the audience be heard in just about any live event.

What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?

We are finding a lot of interest from conferences of all sizes. Companies are also using Crowd Mics for their internal employee and customer events and meetings.

What does your tool help event planners do better?

Event planners are the heroes when they bring Crowd Mics into an event. The audience loves being able to interact using their own device, and the client loves being innovative, efficient and cost conscious.

How is your tool different from/better than the competition?

Our competition is wireless mics being run around the room. Talk to any mic runner about how much they love that job. They don't! Crowd Mics is like passing a mic around the room at light speed without the need for that job. We also are the alternative for the expensive polling systems.

What is the single coolest feature of your product?

The mic feature is killer! People are talking into their phone and are heard over the sound system! But our text commenting is very popular with attendees

Anything else we need to know?

Crowd Mics is very simple to setup and use and you don't need months of lead time to pull it off. We have setup Crowd Mics inside of a six minute presentation on stage. Just say yes and we'll get you going. And the cost is about the rental of one wireless mic!

This weekly series spotlights a new tech tool that is designed to help make planning events much more seamless. Whether it's using event software to track every detail from start to finish or mobile apps that deliver content to attendees' fingertips, these technologies allow planners to divert their stress to more critical issues like deciding which napkin color looks best.
