First of all, please tell our readers about you – what is the company all about?

Most of my life I was obese, I was teased and bullied and at my peak I weighed 360 pounds (I’m 5’6″) and I had a 56″ waist. Through my desperation I began to study how my mind worked. I developed techniques that allowed me to discover the unconditional love I have for myself…Now…I have lost and kept off more than 180 pounds and my life is Amazing and everyday I am committed to helping others truly discover how amazing they are…And we all are.

What were the 3 keys to getting the company off the ground – where did you invest your time?

  1. My life changing transformation, losing 180+ pounds and changing my thought processes
  2. Developing the techniques I use into a system that the average person could use to improve their lives.
  3. Doing everything I can to get the word as to what I do like: Radio, TV, print and social media, speaking to groups and organizations and using all my speaking opportunities as a platform to present my programs to an audience.

Just having participated in the Amplify Your Brand Workshop with Sabina Hitchen and Janine Just, what role do live events play in your branding and marketing initiatives?

Live events are key to my success. They are my platform for promoting what I do and they are also opportunities as profit centers for generating income.

What was a successful social media campaign you hosted that showed great engagement and traction?

Social media is a new animal for me and using Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and Twitter as vehicles to promote upcoming events and to show what is happening during one events is key and each of these platforms has generated income for me in the short time I have been using them.

About Liz King

I started my first company in 2010 in the midst of the down economy. By sharing content on Twitter, Facebook, and my blog, I gained expertise in the event planning industry and have become a leader and influencer. Thankfully, I've been named Top 25 Most Influential Event Planners in 2013, 40 Under 40 Up-and-Coming Event Planners in 2011, the #Eventprofs Most Thought Provoking Blog and People’s Choice Award. This created a platform for me to build my business and strong brand even further. Working with clients on events like Earn $100K Summit and S.H.E. Summit Week, I help entrepreneurs integrate technology into their events to better engage their attendees. In addition to our client work, we also hosts our own events. As the founder of TechsyTalk and PlannerTech, I'm incredibly dedicated to educating fellow event professionals on how technology can enhance their events.
