TechStyleNYC is an event, held during Fashion Week, that brought together fashion and technology. The event had a wonderful turnout and attendees enjoyed the chance to celebrate NYC’s fashion week in techsy style!
But just who are the brands that attended the event? What’s their take on the event industry? And what did they think of TechStyleNYC? We took the opportunity to interview a few of the attendees and over the next few days will be featuring their interviews, read on for a peek inside the guests’ heads:
First of all, please tell our readers about you – what is the company all about?
Founded in 1753, the Warsteiner Brewery is one of the largest private breweries in Germany. Its flagship is the WARSTEINER Premium Verum brand, one of the most popular beer brands in Germany and the world’s No. 1 imported premium pilsener among German private breweries. In the United States, Warsteiner also offers WARSTEINER Dunkel, WARSTEINER Oktoberfest Special Edition and soon-to-be released, WARSTEINER Winter Special Edition (which is also available world-wide).
What were the 3 keys to getting the company off the ground – where did you invest your time?
Warsteiner is an established brand. Our company has been around for more than 260 years and we’re in our 9th generation of family ownership under Catharina Cramer. That said, our success has always been directly linked to using the best possible ingredients – no compromises – and having pride in what we do. Relative to our history, Warsteiner brand has been in the US only recently – since the 1980s.
Just having participated in TechStyle NYC, what role do live events play in your branding and marketing initiatives?
Live events allow us to position and share our brand with new audiences and make deeper connections with current fans. It’s engagement that just can’t be had on a store shelf. Live events also are great ways to generate word of mouth since they provide a lot of opportunities for social sharing.
What was a successful social media campaign you hosted that showed great engagement and traction?
We just completed our summer-long Perfect Pour social media campaign, where bartenders submitted images of their perfectly poured WARSTEINER and fans voted on a favorite to send to New York City for a Perfect Pour Off event held at Citizen M. We supported the Perfect Pour through a dedicated web page, Facebook and Twitter content, sweepstakes and live Periscope coverage, giving fans a lot of different ways to experience the brand.
Finally, what is your favorite app?
There are so many great apps, I’m not sure we have a favorite (unless you allow us to plug our WARSTEINER Finder app on Facebook—it’s a great tool for finding our product in local markets). For marketing purposes, we primarily use the apps associated with our social media channels so we can better manage and post content and answer customer questions while on-the-go and in real time.
