As an Event Planner for Active Network I have to say I agree and disagree. Yes, I see my clients doing many more small meetings and increasing their volume year over year. However, I think you need to take in the specific needs of the clients and customize staffing based on their individual needs. Active offers both product and professional series customizable to the needs of the client and even their individual programs. I currently support a client where we provide a full team of event planners, and bring on additional consultants to staff on special projects as needed. The client also does use our tool on a DIY level, but only when meetings fall within a very specific scope. It’s about staying fresh and current and customizing to the client’s needs.
