Lindsay Rider is a singer, producer, teacher and coach based in New York City. She was born and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania, surrounded by a musical family. After completing her bachelor’s degree at Ithaca College (BM, Vocal Performance), she came to New York to study and attend the prestigious Manhattan School of Music (MM, Vocal Performance).
Not one to turn down an opportunity, Lindsay has since been involved with many different projects, ranging from new opera in New York City to American Idol and producing her very own shows! She loves it all!
Lindsay maintains an active studio and has been affiliated with Broadway Dance Center, The Manhattan School of Music Musical Theater and many others. She serves on the Board of Directors for the New York Singing Teachers’ Association. Lindsay is a compassionate instructor and mentor, and enjoys working with individuals of all skill levels.

To me, being an event hustler means: Staying curious and humble
The top 2 most surprising things I’ve learned about the events industry since starting are: 1. It really can all come down to money; 2. over the years I have learned that it really does take a special kind of person to be a producer.
How did you get your start in the events industry? It kind of happened to me actually! I am also a musician/performer, so I have a ton of experience on that side of production. Then, a few fantastic people saw something in me and asked me if I’d be interested in learning more and getting my hands dirty in direction and production. I just ended up saying “yes” a lot – and it’s lead me to great places so far!
My biggest event industry pet peeve is: Some clients have a hard time accepting that things cost money 🙂
“No such thing as TMI”
One thing that would really surprise people to learn about me is: I’m vegan! Have been since 2010 and really try to incorporate healthy and responsible sourcing in every way I can.
You can only keep 2 albums in your entire music collection -those albums would be: Oh THIS is the toughest question!!! Do I have to really answer this question? Can the 2 albums be a compilation of all the other albums?! I just can’t!
